Waterproof touring boots with OutDry membrane
- OutDry® waterproof membrane. A new patented process where the waterproof membrane is laminated directly to the outer layer. While normally the waterproof membrane is loose, water soaks through the outer surface and gets trapped between the outer layer and the membrane. This makes the boot considerably heavier and also reduces the breathability of the membrane. In addition, waterlogged boots dry very slowly. The OutDry membrane, however, is attached to the outer layer, so there is no intermediate layer where water can collect. The boots are always light, do not absorb water, and the membrane's breathability is always ideal. Feet are kept away from moisture, no condensation forms, and feet don't sweat as much.
